Another year nearly over and the end of the noughties decade is upon us. It's my fifth decade on this planet. Lets hope the next decade is brighter than the last one.

Well Xmas is here for another year, and who knows what next years Xmas will bring and where and what we will be doing in a years time.

What a year it has been, the passing of Micheal Jackson. MP's alleged expenses scandal, our armed services in harms way for yet another years tragic loss of life and horendous inuries to our service personel.

I hope to have quiet Xmas with imediate family and to enjoy the festivities. One thing is for sure. I will eat to much,probably drink to much and put on weight to much. We are lucky and fortunate to be safe at home this Xmas, many folks our not so lucky to have the opportunity to spend this time of the year with family and friends as most of us do.

Brrrr ! Tis a bit nippy here. Good excuse for a scotch to take the chill off the old bones. The beers in the fridge are to cold to drink :)

It appears flights won't be disrupted over Xmas,but those of us who remember the 70's will be concerned about democracy and union rights.

Another Xmas nearly here, A lot of fuss. Stuff our selves silly and probably drink to much and spend to much as well. Humbug I say Humbug !

Attempting to update my eBook collection and catalog what's read and what isn't. Boring !!. Think I'll have a beer and a read instead.

Its nice the PM spending time with our troops but ? the extra security costs. Cash would be better spent on our armed services in theatre.

Allegedly some banks are upset over the pre-budget report later to-day. I hope the chancellor does to those banks what they did to us.

Its shameful ! UK Fat cat top public servants pay and bonus culture. Many UK citizens would have to work 10-15 years to earn these sums.

Trying to catch up on some reading. However, my ipod and a few beers may make that a non starter.

Grrr!! The banks bailed out should be giving bonuses to UK. PLC Taxpayers , and not those who gambled for a quick profit and messed up.

Updating my Shelfari and Goodreads accs with 5 new books which will get read at some point. More collecting than reading at mo !
