Another year nearly over and the end of the noughties decade is upon us. It's my fifth decade on this planet. Lets hope the next decade is brighter than the last one.

Friday, December 25, 2009

Well Xmas is here for another year, and who knows what next years Xmas will bring and where and what we will be doing in a years time.

What a year it has been, the passing of Micheal Jackson. MP's alleged expenses scandal, our armed services in harms way for yet another years tragic loss of life and horendous inuries to our service personel.

I hope to have quiet Xmas with imediate family and to enjoy the festivities. One thing is for sure. I will eat to much, probably drink to much and put on weight to much. We are lucky and fortunate to be safe at home this Xmas, many folks our not so lucky to have the opportunity to spend this time of the year with family and friends as most of us do.

Monday, December 21, 2009

Brrrr ! Tis a bit nippy here. Good excuse for a scotch to take the chill off the old bones. The beers in the fridge are to cold to drink :)

Thursday, December 17, 2009

It appears flights won't be disrupted over Xmas, but those of us who remember the 70's will be concerned about democracy and union rights.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

Another Xmas nearly here, A lot of fuss. Stuff our selves silly and probably drink to much and spend to much as well. Humbug I say Humbug !

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Attempting to update my eBook collection and catalog what's read and what isn't. Boring !!. Think I'll have a beer and a read instead.

Sunday, December 13, 2009

Its nice the PM spending time with our troops but ? the extra security costs. Cash would be better spent on our armed services in theatre.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Allegedly some banks are upset over the pre-budget report later to-day. I hope the chancellor does to those banks what they did to us.

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

Its shameful ! UK Fat cat top public servants pay and bonus culture. Many UK citizens would have to work 10-15 years to earn these sums.

Sunday, December 6, 2009

Trying to catch up on some reading. However, my ipod and a few beers may make that a non starter.

Saturday, December 5, 2009

Grrr!! The banks bailed out should be giving bonuses to UK. PLC Taxpayers , and not those who gambled for a quick profit and messed up.

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Watching TV news: A few MP's bleating about paying back expenses. Some MP's just don't get the message. Wake up and do the right thing !

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

MP's expenses: It appears to be a repeat of the pre-holidays farce. ALL abuses should be paid back and prosecutions for offences forthcoming.

Monday, October 12, 2009

Should be an interesting day in UK politics. We should have more details on who has been orderd to cough up our money.

Sunday, October 11, 2009

MP's expenses in the news again: If there has been abuse or unlawful activity then prosecutions should follow. The electorate expects it.

Monday, September 7, 2009

After not a drop of the amber nectar passing my lips again for nearly two weeks, I'm about to rectify that unfortunate error now !
Back up and running after my Google G1 did a nosedive forcing a hard reset. I can't complain as it's given me 10 months faultless servce.

Monday, August 31, 2009

I have had enough of my G1 slowing down to a standstill. 21 Mb free memory and still a tortoise would run faster. Drastic action required.

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

UK PMQ's

UK PMQ's: Pretty much to be expected on MP's expenses questions. Indepenent scrutiny is the answer and severe penalties for claims excess.

Bleak day on the news.

House repossessions are at a very worrying all time high today. Difficult to know where this is all going to end.Frankly, another fine mess certain banks have managed to store up for us.

The time will come when the fat cats have to struggle like the rest of us. What comes around, goes around !!
